After a long day of testing and waiting, I’m finally in my room in the bone marrow transplant unit with a great view of the city all the way to the bay and greenery. My oncologist is currently the attending on the floor, so I got to talk to him today. Just got hooked up to my pump and should start chemo around 9pm. Jo Ann wins today’s medal for bestest cancer buddy ever – spending 9 hrs with me through all the running around between buildings. My bro Peter came too and brought song and prayer. I’m very blessed and a little less anxious and afraid than when I started. Not sure how often I’ll get to post updates. I’m thumbing this one from my phone. Much love to you all, and I’m truly blessed to have you in my life.
